Graz session with Project cx

After upgrading my new project We went to Graz to test the boat. As you know the boat is made from Kevlar bottom and carbon upper part. The boat is very light stiff and how I sad before there are couple new changes which make it a bit different from the project 52. There was really important to repair same things around the seat. It took me some time to figure out how the reinforcing of the outfitting should be but now it’s done and I been paddling the boat more than 10

trainings. Of course it isn’t possible to paddle this boat in shallow futures. Every hit of stone hurts because the boat is just so much expensive to destroy it on the rocks. Ok how I said we went to

Graz to test the boat. The levels was perfect for wave sessions. My first feeling was that I was so impressed that everything is so easy I had smile from ear to ear. After couple of rides of “huge

California rolls " in small wave , clean blunts ... I was so stoked that I don’t want to change for other boat again. I been paddling About 2 hours and I wasn't tired like with a plastic boat. For the afternoon

session I took my p52 again and it was boring. It doesn’t mean that I am not able to do something special or more on the carbon boat like p52, but it is just so light and stiff, it jump bigger it is a bit more

speedy and the best of it is that everything is working more easy which is really important in competitions. This boat is competitive machine for sure. What to say more , just enjoy the clip from Graz and some pictures from Nina and have fun.

See you

Adidas week

Thursday we traveled to Oetz to meet ours Adidas team mates. The plan was to kayak with friends some nice rivers, make an interview and share the experiences. Olaf, Jared, Sam, Tomass, Stephane, Doborah, Bernhard me and Peter and some other good friends, we met Friday morning near Welle Brucke section. Like a quite big group we drive trough Oetz valley to find the river where to start. By driving we admire the beauty of this awesome part of Austria. This is my favorite region. The nature here around the Insbruck is so beautiful. Everything is green, clean and you are surrounded by colossal mountains. So our first river for warm up was lower Venter. Nice river with very cold water, like every one here. After running some more we met in the evening in Local Restaurant. After having pizza, beer a chat with friends we went together back to apartments. Tired after good paddling we felt to the beds. Morning we met at the Venter. Guys wanted to run upper Venter but somewhere in the middle was fallen a huge avalanche so it wasn’t possible.

The main occasion was planned for afternoon. Sam and Bernhard planned to run Welle Brucke section in flow about 212 cubics. From the top it looked really difficult and very very hard. Guys run it well but they had lot of experiences and despite of this you could see that the water have so big power that even they have some problems to paddle the right way.

The next day we paddled some others nice sections of Oetz. After that was the time to say goodbye and leave, someone to home to work and someone to continue to Friedrichshafen for outdoor show.

Me and Peter we spend two days in Bremgarten. Water level was super nice so we had chance to paddle in good wave and train for Worlds. I hope we will have the next opportunity to go there again when water will be good.

Wednesday we come to Friedrichshafen. Everything was preparing for outdoorshow. We were accommodated in Lindau on the island. Really lovely place, where I never been before. In the evening we had a workshop and dinner where we met with other members of Adidas teams like climbers, bikers, speed flyers, canyoners... It was good chance to know others athletes. I felt like in one big family. The guys and girls were really nice and we made new friends. Thursday it started. I really didn’t expected so many people on the messe. There were thousands of people from every country. I can say that our Adidas booth was over crowded all the time. Perfect gear, perfect food, interesting program like Talk show with athletes, you couldn’t be wondering why there is so many people! In the evening we made a common program also with others athletes leading with Hendrik. After swimming in Boden See we went for pizza and some drinks. Friday, me and Peter, after talk show we had to drive home.

We were little bit sad that we need to leave so soon but so happy that we had so good week full of adventure and new experiences. In one week we drove over 2000 km, met many new friends, saw many interesting things and some of them we even tried, like slack line. I want to say one very BIGTHANKS to Axel, thanks to him we can be a part of this big Adidas family, and who with Sonja and Mike made a nice surprises for all the teams and to Hendrik, who was taking care about us all the time and to all other adidas guys who was helping. This week was for us like holiday and we enjoyed it so much. Thank you.
