Swechat wave sessions

Yeeeaaaaahhhhhh it’s the time . The hole in close city Swechat have water again. After longer break we can spend some time on the water again!!! The hole need the snow melting or rains. At the water level about 160 is it nice. It’s a really slow hole where is almost everything possible. I know that outside temperatures are close to 0 , but we was watching the kayak movies and I can’t just let the levels drop without spending there some time. I hope the levels stays like this some days. Tomorrow we will be there again.

Damming in Uganda at the White Nile river.

Many of you know that the White Nile river is one of my and Nina’s favorite river . This winter it will be my 3rd time over there and we can’t wait to go there. Unfortunately the river will be dammed in the soon future. As I mentioned before we will lose some of the best rapids on this river and we are afraid that they will also change the flow and the Nile Spetial wave will be also gone . For you guys if you still do not know what I am talking about please watch this movie about the damming in Uganda.

Picture this - part 7-10

The part 7 of the movie is from France – Lyon one of the best waves in Europe. We spend there some weeks before the Worlds 2007. The wave has lot of potential, in different levels different kind of wave. If there is lot of water there is possibility to surf also another channel. OK that’s it ,probably everyone knows this wave , here is the part of the movie >>>

The part 8 is from Canada , we was there twice , for the World cup 06 and also for the Worlds 09. Canada is epic , there is everything , nice holes , waves , rivers … I understand why the Canadian kayakers are one of the best in freestyle. We would like to spend there more time for kayaking. Part 9 is from Europe again. Austria is very close to Slovakia and there is lot of options for kayaking. There are lot of creeks , playspots and riveruns. The closest wave for is the Kuchl wave and we were there almost every week at spring and at fall. Other option is in Graz , there are 2 spots but it depend lot of on the water level , but that is everywhere. Enjoy it >>>

Picture this the movie - part 5,6

The 5th part of the movie is from Germany , mostly from very well known hole / wave Plattling and Augsburg where we spend lot of time last two years. Plattling a awesome hole for beginners and also for the pro class and when the flows is really high than the right side is changing for a wave. The hole in Augsburg is a bit more difficult , it is a very power full hole not that much for beginners . This year one of the three World cups was situated there. Next year will one of the Euro cups on the Plattling wave. We will spend a lot of time there at the spring.

The part 6th of the movie is From Sweden. We spend there some time during the Euro cup 2007. The wave there was really awesome and we hope that in the future there will be another really good event. Sweden is beautiful , the water is clean , there is lot of creeks and also some really good playspots. We enjoyed that trip as you can see in the 6th part of the movie .

This part of the movie is made from Slovakia . I didn’t made so many footage from Slovakia because , its just my home playspot and when you there every day than you just don’t feel that that is something interesting. The playspot which was in the movie is not working anymore , the slalom kayaker destroyed the playspot an we made a new one , not that good as the old one was but you still can make there every move.

recreating of our playspot ''Cunovo'' part 2

Hi ,
we had some little changes , me and Tomo we took out some concrete and was waiting for yesterday what happened. At the morning we went look on it and kayak with my friends to know if is it already Ok or if we still need to put something out from there. It was twice better already but , we was thinking that it is still not enough. Today we put almost whole part of the concrete which was broad wise the course. We will see today what happened.

I upload the second part of the movie ‘’Picture This’’.
This part is about Uganda , White Nile. We been there twice now and it was really awesome. I would like to go there every year for some months and enjoy the wilderness and beauties of this Land. This winter we would like to hit Uganda again , we will see how it will work for us in school. At the White Nile are 2 sections still run able , but they are building there a new dam and the first section will be gone in the short future. recreating of our playspot ''Cunovo''

We was trying to recreate our playspot whole last week , I think we was now half successful , but we still have lot of work before us to have a world class playspot. We used concrete to build it and I can tell you that it was a hard job. We used more than 10 tons of it.
I would like to thanks to our crew for help , it was amazing that we had a opportunity to rebuild the place.

Hi ,
This year was a awesome session , we had good skills and luck at the competitions , we trained hard and really good fun. This session is almost behind us , we are looking to have a good winter condition trainings . After that we are looking forward to Uganda to have a good time. Now we didn’t kayak a while because I had a sport accident on my training ( broke my stomach muscle little bit ) and I need to be ready for the next session. Because we didn’t kayak that much we wasn’t able to make new updates , fortunately we can post some parts from my last year movie called ‘’Picture This‘’. Adidas sickline day 3

Finals!!!

At 10:30 started the finals at the Welle brucke course. Top 50 men’s had their chance to be the best extreme kayaker in the world. We had 2 rides, first run was a qualification run and also a knockout for 25 kayakers. The think was that the first and the second run counted together for the top 25 men’s than if you had your second run worst that the first one you still wasn’t the winner. I think it was an interesting rule, because it shows who the best one is and not just who had luck. The race was long and the weather wasn’t that hot. We were waiting long time to be started.

I also made the finals; I was really surprised because this was my second time in my creek boat this year. I had well both rides and made place 12 at the end.

Adidas sickline day 2

Today at 9-12 was the training for the saturday finals at the Welle Brucke race course. Just top 50 men was able to have a training there. Today the weather wasnt that good , it was about 5-10 deg. and because everyone whanted to have much training runs as possible the line for start was so long. Sometimes we wait 20 min for the start. Staying and waiting the line wasnt comfotable , but when you was at the start on the rock , it was a sick feeling. Unfortunatelly I dont have any pictures because it was raining whole day. At 13:30 was the boatercross race. In this race compete just 50 paddlers wich didnt made the finals on the Welle brucke at saturday. Tommorow is the day ''D''. The finals will be very interested.

Adidas sickline day 1 !!!!!!

And its here , the adidas sickline world championship is here. Today was the first competition day. We had 120 kayakers all over the world. At 9 was the first training race and strait after first 75 paddlers went to the qualifikation race no.1.After That was the second group next... Here are the results from the quali no.1 adidas-sickline.













When everyone was done we get a good lunch and had time to recover. At 13:30 was the second quali run but now just 100 best paddlers from the first run. See the results form the race no.2 adidas-sickline. At the evening will be a dinner at the adidas tent and also a photo competition from today.

The final race in Czech cup took place in Sopotnica . This hole isn’t just normal hole on the river or in the white water course , this one is made in the small pool where the engines are pumping the water. It is so cool!

They can change the type of the wave or hole, because everything is robotic and possible to set it up right with hydraulic. Awesome! At Friday was the training, not many people were there because of their work and we had the hole just for us. The hole isn’t running whole time, because you need gas to keep it running which is little bit expensive. Lot of people came at night and had training with car lightning. Next morning started the qualification of each category. In the man category after the quali I came first Jan Spindler second and Jan Bubnik third.

In the woman category Nina with awesome both rides was first .

In C1 category first came Lukas Cervinka with more than 1000 points.

The semis were really late at night without any sunlight. The weather was cold and nobody wanted to go kayaking but the competition needed to be done. The organizers put some cars near the playspot and switch on the lights. It was difficult to compete at this lightning but we had fun up there and enjoyed the kayaking. After the semis in woman category Nina was first again , Lenka Novotna came second and third was Lenka Borovickova.

In the man category was first Jan Spindler , I was second and Stepan Vohradsky was third. After the semis was an awesome party, with fire and lot of music. Next cold morning the finals started slowly. In woman Nina did well again and had all 3 rides really good and came first.

In man category Tomasz Czaplicki took with nice ride 1^st place I came second and Jan Spindler was 3^rd.
